Wintery Wonderland!!!

We had such a fun Sunday...Aiden came up with the idea of sledding and then he wanted to have hot cocoa afterwards, which sounded like a great plan to us! We went up to the Becker town park with Julie, Owais and Ariana too- there is a little hill, perfect for sledding! Just big enough to slide down, not too big to get super tired climbing up! It was a great day - not too cold - not too windy- just right!

We even made a snow tube train to go down the hill - we were a little crooked but it was fun.

New CAR weekend!!!

We had a lot of stuff going on this weekend- here is a little recap-

We had an Ugly Christmas Sweater party at our friends, Josh and Erin, on Saturday. Travis and I found these gigantic ornaments at Shopko and couldn't resist. We had a fun time playing cards and catching up with friends.

Friday night was Travis' niece Ariana's 2nd Birthday party. She got a lot of great presents and this huge sucker!

I took the day off Friday and Travis and I went shopping for a new car- we found this gem in Annandale at Country Chevrolet. I fell in love and ended up trading in my old Malibu for this new model. I had my old car for over 6 years so it was about time! I love love love my new car and Travis likes it too. The feel spoiled with the heated seats and all the new gadgets to play with!

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

We had quite the busy weekend this weekend- Travis is home from Duluth so we had time to get the house ready for Christmas!

On Friday night, we went bowling after picking up Aiden, we used the bumpers and Aiden beat me- he is quite the little bowler!

On Saturday Aiden and I had a chance to make some Christmas cookies, he loves helping mix the dough and actually helped cut some out! We made way too many cookies, but it was a lot of fun to decorate them afterward.

Aiden wanted me to decorate a cookie like Darth Vader- I think I did a pretty decent job- I went by the picture on his shirt! He was so excited he ate the cookie right away-hmm...maybe I should start a Star Wars cookie decorating business? hmm...maybe not...

In the afternoon it was time to pick out our tree- it was soooo cold outside we bundled up like the Grizwolds and made the trek out into the tree farm- we were the only ones who got the free wagon ride out to the trees- everyone else was smart enough to drive around in their vehicles.

We had a really good time and eventually found the perfect tree- the picture at the top is after we decorated and everything- it looks great in our living room!

Date Night

About a year and a half ago, Travis and I started our own tradition- Date Night! We made up our own "rules" and set out to have a Date Night once a month. We take turns every other month; we have to plan the night, drive, pull out chairs, open doors, and order for the other person. It gets pretty interesting when I am opening the doors and pulling out chairs for Travis!

We were supposed to have date night on Thursday this week, but Travis was gone working in Duluth, so we rescheduled for today and brought Aiden with! It was Travis's date night- so he brought us to the Chinese Buffet for lunch. Travis and Aiden LOVE Chinese Buffet- this is a picture of Aiden's dessert...yes those are gummy bears with chocolate sauce, sprinkles and butterscotch- yummy! :)

After lunch, we went mini golfing- in the dark! The whole place as lit by black light- it was really cool to see all of the things glowing in the dark.

Aiden was trying to immitate this guy- he did a pretty good job! Travis ended up winning with the least shots, but we all had a great time!

Allyson's 7th Birthday

Travis's neice Allyson turned 7 this year-we got to go to her house for a pizza party!

The big kids had an idea for the little kids to play a balloon popping game- so we tied balloons to each of the kids's legs and had them try to pop eachother's balloon.

It was quite hilarious and the grass ended up being the winner! The kids would run to get eachother's balloons and the grass would pop the balloons instead!

We tried to move the game inside- but then it was too hard to pop the balloons!

It was a very fun day and Alllyson got some great gifts- Happy Birthday Ally!

Tina and Nathan's Wedding- The Thompsons!

On Saturday, November 7th we got to celebrate the wedding day of my cousin Tina and her new husband Nathan. Apparently, I was so photoed out from the other weddings we had, I forgot to take many pictures of the Bride and Groom! Aiden sure had fun with my camera though- him and Travis came down to celebrate too. Aiden found the candy bowls right away, and visited them a few too many times that night. We had a great time, the food was amazing and everyone looked wonderful. Congratulations Tina and Nathan!

Again- Aiden's handywork...:)

The one picture that Aiden would let us take (below)- he was being a little pesky when Erin tried to take this for us...I think we should have taken pictures BEFORE we hit the candy bowls!

Halloween 2009

I am finally catching up from Halloween! We had an amazing Halloween this year...we got to carve pumpkins with Aiden, Levi and Ava early in the week. They did a great job, their pumpkins looked awesome!

Then, on Halloween we got to see Levi, Ava and Gavin in their costumes. Travis put on his Batman costume and Gavin was also a little Batman. Gavin couldn't stop staring at Travis, he didn't know what to think! Levi was dressed as Optamus Prime and Ava was a little strawberry Fairy- she was sooo cute!

Later that night, we were invited to my friend Kara's house for a Super Hero Halloween party. We had an amazing time. I think Travis and I had a little too much fun dressing as the "old school" Batman and Robin.

On October 24th- our good friends Anna and Cory got married in Eau Claire, Wisc. Travis, Aiden and I got to be part of the fun! It started out pretty interesting- with a snow storm on Friday night! Everyone got in to town just fine, but then we had a power outtage at the Church- so rehearsal started out in the dark. Eventually the lights came on and everything went smoothly from there. Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day. We had a great time at the wedding and we were so happy we could be part of Cory and Anna's special day!

Todd and Courtneys Wedding!

Todd and Courtney are officially hitched!!! What a beautiful Wedding! I keep telling people how wonderful the whole day went- everything went very smoothly- Courtney and her mom did a great job of planning the whole day.

Here are some of us bridesmaids in our dresses, all of the girls looked so beautiful!
NEWLYWEDS!!! Courtney was such a beautiful bride...Her dress was amazing! Todd even pulled off the brown tux quite well- after a few tears of joy they were pronounced man and wife on a beautiful Saturday afternoon- this is a picture of them on the way to the reception. Everyone had so much fun- now they are off on their honeymoon!

The Rehearsal Dinner on Friday night was wonderful too- the food was great and we got to relax a bit before the big day.

Snowy Weekend in October?

It was quite the weekend at the Johnson-Wozniak household. This weekend we were super busy! On Friday we went out for supper to celebrate Julie's birthday (Travis's sister). Saturday morning I went to my friend/coworker Bobbi's baby shower- she is due November 2nd- but I think her little girl is going to show up much sooner than that. Bobbi is so cute- she is very tiny with a baby bump- I told her it literally looks like she shoved a basketball under her shirt!

After the shower on Saturday, Travis and Aiden joined me in St. Cloud to go to the Willy Wonka play! A coworker of mine, Mike Harens, played Willy in the play- so it was a great wathcing and knowing someone with that large of a role! We even got to see the Oompa-loompas! This was the second play we have gone to and it was a great time!

Sunday was our day to relax, we headed to church in the morning and then made chili for the Vikings game. Aiden was busy playing Legos while we watched the game. It was nice to relax for a while- because we are going to be super busy this comnng weekend. Todd and Courtney will be getting married on Saturday- we are super excited for all of the fun!

Travis helped me shop for a new camera on Monday so I am very excited to be able to take all sorts of great pictures with it- I will be sure to update next week with fun pictures from the wedding!!!

1st week of Blogging!

Well- I am slowly getting used to this blogging thing. Aiden has learned how to ride his bike without training wheels! Travis thought it was time so we went out and practiced. He was nervous and shaky at first, but before we knew it he was zooming off on his own! He loves riding around and doing circles in the driveway- he is growing up way too fast!

On Saturday we went to a joint bachelor/bachelorette party for Tina and Nathan. We all got dressed in our 80's best and headed out on the town. It was a great time! Tina and Nathan looked great in their outfits. We are excited to be headed into the weddings now- that was our last bachelor/bachelorette party for the year!!!

Update on the Bathroom- Travis has been working super hard on the bathroom- the sheetrock is now up-Eric and Carissa came up tonight to help put texture on the walls. The next step is paint! Now it is my job to pick out the decor, and I must say I am particulary horrible at it! The next project is the living room!

The Beginning

So, I have decided to start a blog for the Johnson-Wozniak Household. We are getting busier with the house and with Aiden getting into more activities- so I wanted a place to share what is going on with our lives! We are also a little further away from most of my family so I wanted to keep in touch with Family and Friends this way. Happy Blogging!
